What is IPL?
Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy is a nonsurgical treatment that uses light-based energy to improve the health and appearance of the skin. At Raw Rejuvenation and Wellness in Millcreek, UT, we utilize the Harmony XL PRO laser by Alma to perform IPL photofacials. This allows us to customize your IPL treatment to meet your unique needs. IPL is most commonly used to address wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, brown patches, freckles, and rosacea on the face and neck. The light energy from IPL targets damaged and pigmented cells within the skin to achieve a clearer, healthier complexion. This treatment will prompt the skin's natural healing process and boost collagen production over time. To renew your skin, call our wellness center to book an appointment with one of our aesthetic experts, Dr. Vanessa M. Hart, Heather Darling, FNP-IFMCP, or Alisa Wright, RN. We look forward to serving you.
"Wonderful experience! I'll be back."- Anonymous / Office Visit / Mar 04, 2021
"Where to begin? Heather has been the missing piece for my health. I have spent years with various health issues that were "diagnosed" and prescribed a pill. The pill never worked and the "diagnoses" never stuck. The only result of the constant doctor visits was increased frustration and helplessness. I was at the end of my rope and then Heather came into my life. She took the time not to just listen to my symptoms, but to understand me and then she began to understand my body. The care, empathy, and knowledge she demonstrated in her approach to my health was uplifting and reassuring. I am now healthy and able to live my life with improved numbers, gut health, and understanding of my body. THANK YOU!! If you are done with the typical approach to medicine come see Heather. You won't be disappointed."- M.C. / Google / Nov 23, 2020
"The best part of my experience with Raw Inside and Out, is to finally have a real conversation about my health and my future health. Heather is always accessible when I need her and as an educator I can see that she continues to stay on top of new studies and techniques in personal health! Glad I found her!"- L.R. / Google / Oct 23, 2020
"Heather helped me start a healthier eating lifestyle 2.5 years ago. It helped my "numbers" improve dramatically, but most important, it made me feel better. I continue to work with Heather as she is so knowledgeable. Her understanding of functional medicine and its application to those of us in need, is exceptional. I highly recommend working with Heather to help yourself!"- J.K. / Google / Oct 23, 2020
"I have struggled with my skin, digestion, and hormones for a while and tried a lot of different things. Once I explained my symptoms to Heather she was able to access the tests I needed to take (food sensitivity/hormone test) and I began to understand my body’s needs on a different level. We're still fine-tuning everything because healing from within takes time but I've noticed quite the shift for the time that's been committed to change. It's crazy how common it is for us to live life with pains or digestive issues that become our new normal. Your health is important and I can assure you that you'll be in goods hands here. Great vibes and wonderful results."- L.M. / Google / Oct 23, 2020
How much does IPL cost?
Every patient's case is unique so your cost for IPL treatments will vary based on your specific condition. Raw Rejuvenation and Wellness occasionally offers specials on IPL therapy and accepts most major credit cards. At your first consultation, our Millcreek, UT team can estimate your costs and create a convenient payment plan that works with your budget.
How quick are the results from IPL?
While some skin improvements can be seen following each Harmony XL PRO IPL session, optimal results typically occur 3 – 6 months after a full series of treatments is completed. This will vary for each patient, but the results will provide notable improvements in the tone, texture, and clarity of your skin.
What are the possible side effects of IPL?
Most men and women have mild side effects, like temporary redness, swelling, crusting, blisters, or bruising. These symptoms typically improve within 1 – 2 weeks after treatment. Your skin will also be vulnerable to direct sunlight. So, we recommend avoiding prolonged sun exposure and outdoor activities for a few days after your IPL treatment.
Why should I get multiple IPL sessions?
Multiple IPL treatments are better to produce gradual improvements to the quality of your complexion. Each session helps to reduce discolored spots and other surface irregularities. A series of sessions also produces longer-lasting results. On average, most patients receive 3 – 6 IPL treatments spaced one month apart to achieve optimal outcomes.
